Readings, Readings, Readings!

I'm lucky to have been part of two readings over the last couple of weeks - and there are two more on the way! I had a wonderful time playing 'Blaze of Glory' in Splendid's on the set of The Maids and was recently working as Assistant Director and played 'The Tech Guy' in a reading of Dirt by Bryony Lavery, which we performed at the Almeida rehearsal studios. Directed by the wonderful Anthony Banks, it had a great cast including Rochenda Sandall, Sophie Wu, Doon Mackinchan, Jack Ashton, and Andrew Hawley.

This week, I'll be performing two poems for Refugee Week with Prime Theatre, including Shakespeare's speech about refugees. Really pleased to be working with them again.

The week after, I'll be part of some companion pieces to 10,000 Smarties by Josh Azouz, which is a dark, surreal story about a young Afghan man's struggles with the UK immigration system not to be deported. The companion pieces - plays, prose and poems - have been written by local young people in Oxford with a short run in Oxford from 30 June - 2 July, directed by Alice Malin.
